Epic fail if it's DVD sized. The hurt locker fiasco is absolute shit. Luckily it's saved me from stepping foot into best buy

It's the stupid theatrical version. They are purposely releasing it this way first so people have to douple dip to get the good version released later. No thanks, I'll wait on the extended and watch the DVD version till then.

Likewise.
they should come up with a Band of Brothers type packaging not a jumbo plastic book.

Either that or release it like the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.

Good regular looking steelbooks.

If they don't release till the hobbit hits, that's two years. I'll gladly double dip if it takes 2 years

Ugh-that stinks-I am hoping Amazon DE ends up with individual Steelbooks as 1st listed months ago (now description changed). With Warner's recent move to Iron Packs for HP and Salvation, I hope SOMEONE will offer individual Steels, bah!

It's blu-ray sized, I can tell by the logo and the angle of the shot and what not. The question now becomes, is it any good? Up's steelbook was utter crap, I don't want this if it's more of the same.

Up had cool art, as did Monster's Inc. really. The only challenge was finding ones in perfect shape, as Jumbos seem more prone to damage both inside and out. While Jumbos are still my least favourite, I feel much more comfortable with them once I get them safely home as they're more or less guaranteed to stay that way once they pass my doors, lol.

6 discs is the maximum for BD-sized Jumbo, so I guess it's lucky there aren't more discs.

I wonder how are they going to fit 9 discs into a BD Jumbo SB, as they are supposed to hold max of 6 discs, are they not? If there are going to be so many extras and Digital Copies for all of the movies, there should be 9 discs...

Maybe the steelbook won't include the digital copies... I mean, there's no BD-sized case that can hold 9 discs. The recent District 9 steelbook didn't include the digital copy that came with the amaray.

Yeah they'll probably just drop the digital copies and cram the fatbook full of discs.
