Default Monoprice down, where to order until it's back up?

I need to order the following:

15ft hdmi cable
200 ft in wall speaker wire
some usb extendors
some cable management (the velcro kind)
some other random stuff

However, Monoprice is down and won't be taking orders for a couple weeks...do I just syphen through amazon to find what I need, or is there an equal place for price out there?

I'd say just wait till it's back up again. Shouldn't take long I wouldn't think.

Where did you get that information? This is directly from their website...
The Monoprice website is temporarily unavailable while we correct some problems and perform maintenance.
Most of the orders placed by Friday will be shipped out on Monday as scheduled.
We expect the site to be available again in 4 hours around 12PM, Tuesday, March 9th, 2010.
It may take another week or two for us to have the servers completely back up and running in order for us to take orders from customers.
Truly sorry for any inconvenience it may cause you. Thanks again for your understanding and doing business with us.

Spoke online chat with a rep, and, on the website, it says it right on front:

It may take another week or two for us to have the servers completely back up and running in order for us to take orders from customers.

I was taking that as the site will be back up but ordering will have to be done over the phone. I'll have to wait and see as I need to order two more HDMI cables and 5 more sets of banana plugs.

I wonder if they had a server crash or something like that. A website like Monoprice doesn't go down and take a week or two to get back up and running just for simple maintenance.

Not sure who there IT people are but 2 weeks is crazy downtime for a company that does most it's business via online ordering. They must of had a serious failure.

I worked at a 24/7 business that wanted nearly zero downtime but needed their entire data center moved. We did it overnight in about 12 hours think actual downtime for the business was less than 2 hours though.

http://www.cablesys.com is another option. I have never ordered HDMI cables from them but there Cat6 and fiber optic cables were good quality.

Default MonoPrice.com "maintenance"

I bet I'm not the only one to notice MonoPrice went off-line last Friday/Saturday?

I placed an order on Friday, tried checking status over the weekend and found they wouldn't re-open until today (Tuesday). I just checked again, looks like a few more hours.

Also states, "It may take another week or two for us to have the servers completely back up and running in order for us to take orders from customers." WOW, just wow!! That will certainly hit their business hard.

I suppose you can still call in an order. But so many of us prefer the web.

I'm also concerned with, "Most of the orders placed by Friday will be shipped out on Monday as scheduled." ...most??....I sure hope my order was one of the ones that went out as scheduled. I wanted mine shipped Friday...but I should be some what patient, I ordered Friday.

Is this issue interfering with anyone else?

http://www.firefold.com I actually live close enough to pick my orders up from them so I can't comment on their shipping speed, but their products and service is top notch.

Yeah. This is completely bizarre.

Maybe they had a fire? Serious Virus? Serious Crash? Seriously Corrupted Database? No Backups?

No I got it ... their entire database was hacked and wiped. Now they are working with the FBI to track down the hackers who have all our info.
