Chess for PS3?

I can't find anything on a search, but is there a Chess game for PS3? I went sniffing around the store and there's a category called Strategy that even uses a chess icon but I couldn't find anything in there.

I know they use to have "Chessmaster" series for older versions of consoles, not sure if the PS3 has any chess games or not.

I love chess, and usually play online yahoo...you probably could from PS3 browser??? ...not sure how smooth the experience will be though?

I love chess too. I think it would be cool, if they brought out the premium membership and then you get a widget with games like chess, solitare, blackjack,etc. Then of course you could get an option to play online with friends.

I play alot here and there on the one on my computer. Ranked online play could be cool.

Good ol' Battle Chess! I remember playing the original on PC way, way back when games only had 4 colors:


Is this perhaps a remake of that game? It was a fun twist to see your pieces smash others when you too them. I remember the towers morphing into stone goliaths, moving and then mashing a poor little pawn into the ground.
