Default Quantities...

At local Best Buy today:

1 - Brothers Bloom
4 - Moon
? - Hurt Locker (Sold out at store)

I did manage to nab their only copy of Last Action Hero too - guilty pleasure.

With TVs and Blu-ray players selling like crazy lately, is the low qty an issue of manufacturing, or a store not purchasing enough?

I almost had the same issue.
I saw 2 copies of Moon, about 4 TOTAL copies of The Hurt Locker and about 6 copies of Halloween II (2009). I was there at 10:12, and they open at 10, and I'm pretty positive there wasn't a line when they opened.

I think stores may be cutting down because of the economy and they think with the holidays past there won't be alot of people coming to buy 'em. And especially at ubsurd prices like $30 for Moon and $25 for Halloween II (2009) - but I did thank you gift cards

Depends on the title. Moon and The Brothers Bloom were relatively obscure and seem to have gotten somewhat limited pressings, hence the low stock at B&M stores.

I was going to pick up Hurt Locker at Sam's today on my way to work but they only had DVD copies. No DVD or blu for Moon.

It's the store's fault for not ordering enough.

Today my store had zero copies of Cliffhanger and Last Action Hero, and a few of the others mentioned above.

For some reason, Wal-Mart is usually the best place to go for Lionsgate catalogue titles. They always seem to get plenty of copies and have the best prices.

This is another reason I like Amazon. If they are out I may have to wait a few days longer, but at least I didn't waste any time or gas.

BTW Jamal2 - cool avatar. That BD recently blew my head off.

I stopped at Walmart, Blockbuster, and CD Plus and none of them had either of these movies (that's all there is for Blu-rays in Cold Lake besides Zellers and they have the worst prices and selection) so I bought them on DVDs & Next Gen Gaming.

It probably depends a lot in the store. My local best buy had a good amount of hurt locker blu ray copies. Also had around 20 copies of the steel book.

There was also a nice stack of "Moon" blu ray.
