Default AQ or PQ ?

What is more important to you while watchig a blu ray?
A good audio quality or a good picture quality.

For me, i was always more fascinated by AQ rather than PQ.

AQ by far!!!!!!!!!!!

AQ is twice as important to me as PQ.

try this: during a big battle sequence (gladiator opening, master and commander opening), mute the TV to test the PQ...

try this: during a big battle sequence (gladiator opening, master and commander opening), close your eyes to test the AQ...

You should have an option for "Both".
AQ comes first but I want PQ too. If the PQ is bad, I will be distracted and will not enjoy the AQ.

Both. That's the point of Blu-ray, isn't it?

I dont have both on purpose couse everyone would choose that option. (no movie is complete without one of them) This way its more interesting,

After you have done that, try this. Turn off the TV and just listen to the audio track for the entire movie. Let see how you like it now AQ and PQ go both together. They complement each other for a wonderful movie experience.

I must admit though that AQ is first for me.

Once again, I dont mean by this thread that you watch the movie with AQ and no PQ or otherwise.

The question is which is more important to you?
Would you feel worse if your BD did bad in PQ departament or AQ one

gotta go with PQ on my end.

Several reasons for this: first, I don't have a great audio set-up. Heck, forget about money... I don't have the space for anything other than my tv. I could perhaps decipher "bad" AQ from "good" AQ, but "mediocre" from "good"? Doubtful. Second, I can't really put my volume up loud... mostly to try and avoid annoying other people in the building. Especially since my prime movie-watching time is past a lot of people's bedtime. Thus, I do a lot of my movie watching with subtitles and low volume.

When PQ can put me in the middle of the action without 3D glasses like AQ does, then I'll change my choice.

to answer your question: much better than a muted PQ film.

I am unable to vote since they are both equally important to me.

I consider both to be of extreme importance, but if I HAD to choose one, then it would definitely be the AQ! But thats only if I'm held at gunpoint and forced to choose one or lose my "Blu-ray Champion" status

Thats what i am looking for.
I cant beleive that these too thinks are absolutely of the same importance for everyone.

The question is would you feel worse if your BD did bad in PQ departament or AQ one? i AM not asking to whatch a movie without audio or video.

I can not answer due to the ludicrousness of the question.

This question can also be put in the form of "Would you rather be blind or deaf?"

yes, its true that when you buy blu and watch a film, you're getting PQ and AQ.

however, the PQ/AQ preference is important, when judging a transfer, as it sets your threshold for purchase. for example. let's suppose that I think AQ is twice as important as PQ. If the transfer is 3/5 PQ and 4.5/5 AQ, I may go ahead and purchase it, since the AQ transfer is great. On the other hand, someone who prefers PQ over AQ may not make that purchase. This is an example where the PQ/AQ preference is relevant, not fiction. The reality is that the PQ/AQ transfers aren't the same in quality, otherwise we wouldn't have reviews that score each.
