Interesting... varrah interesting. It also lists an HD DVD, but when you click to view it, the site gives an "Error - Page Not Found" message...

Here's hoping this is the real deal, and not just a mis-listed title. I'd love to see DreamWorks Animation on Blu-ray... though maybe not Shrek, per se.

Meanwhile, DreamWorks' Shrek the Third DVD (due 11/13) will include a "meet the cast" audio commentary, 3 deleted scenes (The Fauxly Grail, Hot Lunch and Cyrano de Artie), 9 featurettes (including Shrek's Guide to Parenthood, Tech of Shrek 3, Worcestershire Academy Yearbook, Princess Bootcamp, Big Green Goofs, Merlin's Magic Crystal Ball, Get Up and Play PSA, Learn the Donkey Dance and How to be Green), 2 music videos (Donkey Dance and Dancing Babies), trailers for all the Shrek films and DVD-ROM interactive features (Shrek Shmash Ups, Royal Tournament Games, Printables and weblinks). There's no word yet on possible high-def versions.

Not sure if we'll see this one in HD day-and-date given that it is from Dreamworks SKG. I would love to get the first 2 and then Over The Hedge from them though.

As far as dates for DVDs, I see that things seem to be lining up as follows:

October 23: Meet the Robinsons
October 30: SM3
November 6: Ratatouille
November 11: Shrek the Third
December 4: Pirates 3

I wonder where Transformers, Harry Potter, The Simpsons Movie, Live Free or Die Hard, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer, Rush Hour 3, Evan Almighty, Chuck and Larry, Hairspray, Oceans Thirteen, 1408, and some others will try to slot in (if they aim for coming out before Christmas).

I can't tell you after Shrek 1 & 2 how bitterly disappointed I was in Shrek The Third. Just out and out boring and not funny.

Is anyone else not looking foward to this?

i still don't understand how shrek the third was so widely criticized...i think, if the critics hadn't bashed it before everyone went to see it, everyone would have thought it was great. the media has so much of an effect on everything.

though, i never saw shrek 2 and only saw 3/4 shrek 1 before i saw shrek 3, so maybe it was repetitive humor that i found comical but others found far too similar to the first two...

Yeah, I didn't like the third Shrek either, but I certainly would welcome it on BD if it meant DreamWorks Animation's foray into high def. Katzenberg has already scoffed at the idea of high def, but I really don't see that mentality holding out for long.

As I said before, I really hope this isn't just a mis-listed title on CH's part; I know Digital Bits said there was no word yet about HD formats, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're not coming.
