Default My 3000 watt 7.2 system...

Hey all! I have been here a while and thought I would share my system with you. I have attached some pics here.

Here is the link to the gallery as well.

https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...ber=bsmith6470

It consists of the following:

Samsung LN40A750 LCD
Pioneer BDP-05FD Blu-Ray
2 Carver M1.0t main amps (1000 watts each)
Yamaha RX-V663 HT amp (665 watts)
Klipsch Cornwall mains
2 Klipsch KSW 200 subs. 1 in front and 1 in back. (200 watts each)
Klipsch KSF C5 Center
Klipsch S1 side surrounds
Cerwin Vega D1 rear surrounds (they were free)

I did the upgrade summer of 2008. The Carver's, all the Kilpsch, and the Cerwin Vega's all came from my old system.

I bought the Cornwall's used. The were repo'd. The original owner had commercial grade woofers installed. I bought them in 1984.

When all channels are running, the system puts out 3065 watts.

It thumps pretty good. It's not much, but I enjoy it.

Enjoy.

Let me know what you think.

Very nice. Love the Carvers. You can't go wrong with Heritage Klipsch.

Actually, the Cornwalls are not from the Heritage Line. They were built in 1984. Cornwall II's. When all things Klipsch were still built in Hope, AR and PWK was still alive!

This is the link to the Klipsch Heritage line up.

Those four speakers and the discontinued Belle are considered the Heritage Speakers. I don't know why they discontinued the Belle, I always preferred it over the La Scala.

My guess is the reason the Belle has been discontinued is that it did not offer much of an improvement over the Cornwall for the extra money. IMHO

I know that Klipsch has re-released those speaker in the "Heritage" line. But what I was trying to say was, and not very clear about, the Cornwalls I have were built when they were still in the regular line up of speakers.

I misspoke in my original post that I bought these in 1984. It was 1986. Here is the link to the info on the speakers I have. The Cornwall II. Built from 1985 to 1990. The Heritage version has been built from 2006.

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Thanks to everyone for all your input and responses. I appreciate it!

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I bought my Klipschorns in the 80s and I consider them as Heritage Klipsch speakers. The "Purists" on the Klipsch site forum don't consider any speakers as Heritage unless they are more than 20-yrs old. For me, all five of those models are Heritage no matter how old they are. However, I do see and respect your point of view.
