Default Bourne DVD versus BD

I have the Bourne trilogy on DVD. Just love them. Thanks to members of this forum, I discovered I can buy the BD version from Amazon UK for pretty cheap. Before double dipping, I just have to ask...Is it worth the price to double dip these movies? The only reason I ask it that from reading reviews, I get the impression that the many many dark scenes in these movies don't seem to benefit tat much from BD when compared to upconverted DVDs. Thanks for your feedback.

The BD look far superior to the DVDs. It is not a debate.

Yes, double dip. The Blu-Rays are amazing and a huge upgrade over the DVD's.

Absolutely. The PQ is a nice upgrade, but the AQ is the real gem. Universal did an outstanding job with the lossless audio on this set. I double-dipped last summer and don't regret it at all. In fact I just watched all three again last weekend and I was floored (again) by the audio.

Without question, the upgrade is worth it.

I feel that the Bourne Identity isn't a spectactular transfer, but the other two are amazing.

If you like these movies, get the BDs.

You might wanna get the UK or french box set, the first film is the extended version (the US get the shorter version). It's only about 30 seconds difference, but it still counts.

I totally agree with the other guys...get them on Blu-ray its worth it.

I got the import from Amazon UK, cost about 31.00 US shipped..you can't beat that price for these three movies.

The fliper discs are out next Tuesday. You could sell your current discs and purchase the flipers so you still have both in one nice package.
Most are opposed to flipers but to each his own.

The only thing that could make Bourne's ass kicking skills better is the PQ and AQ. Get them. NOW

The set was $31.19 shipped for me, with the shipping accounting for approx $5 of that.

ULTIMATE Bourne Trilogy on Amazon UK right ? PAL isn't going to play on my Samsung is it ? I see they are region free, but PAL is listed on the Amazon product page...

NOW I'm really getting confused !!! I looked up my foreign DEER HUNTER which plays fine, and IT says PAL too !?!?!? Yet, it plays beautifully on my Samsung !!!!!!

I can understand the concern, your reluctance to pull the trigger.

I believe each of us in this thread recommending this item (and Band of Brothers) have ordered from Amazon.UK....or know someone who has.

It works in the US....relax, click PLACE ORDER then wait the week and try it yourself. You'll be happy with it very soon.

Definitely worth the upgrade.
Sure, there are dark scenes, but they look incredible on blu.
Especially if you love the films, you're gonna love this BD set.
