A couple of the German discs - Wicked Women and Voodoo Passion - are only $9.71 plus shipping (once VAT is removed) on Amazon.de. Unfortunately Downtown went from $9.71 to $17.65 overnight! If any of the other Golden Goya discs drop down to similarly dirt-cheap levels, I'll post 'em in this thread. Ascot-Elite confirmed to me via email, however, that they won't be releasing any additional Franco titles.

Yes, when I was compiling the OP, I realized that most of the German covers were NSFW, so I was debating whether to put them in a spoiler or not. Several of the US ones have nudity as well, though. I guess that's par for the Franco course, but it makes for a somewhat dicey OP in terms of overall at-work suitability.

The uncut blu ray has both versions of the movie with the cut version in the extras and not english friendly.

The cut version instead of just deleting footage features inserts of Lina Romay walking down a spiral staircase holding a sunflower! It's pretty special.

If the primary Jess Franco group on Facebook is to be believed it sounds like the new Kino/Redemption Franco acquisition is THE DIABOLICAL DR. Z (1966). A title that I'm sure many of us will be pleased to hear is getting HD treatment.

I hope that Tim Lucas is called on for a commentary for this one. I'd like to see Stephen Thrower brought in for insight as well, his video segments on previous Mondo Macabro, Blue Underground and Severin Franco titles add great value.

I would have thought Dr. Z would still have been with Mondo Macabro, as Jared (as quoted earlier in this thread) mentioned that an upgrade was 'possible, but if it happens it won't happen until 2018.' Still, MisterLime did specify that they 'just acquired' the title, so perhaps something changed between the first quote and the second one!

A Lucas commentary seems a given, as he's been doing them for all of the Kino Francos as of late, but I'd definitely appreciate further Thrower participation. The 'Diabolical Mr. Franco' episode of 'Eurotika!' that was included on the MM Dr. Z disc was already included on their Night Has a Thousand Desires BD, so there wouldn't be any additional extras that would (have to be) ported on a hypothetical Kino release. Add a Lucas commentary and a Thrower featurette and we're good to go!
