Anybody excited about finally seeing this on a BD? Netflix just sent me a confirmation e-mail that 8 1/2 will be at my apartment tomorrow. I'm pretty hyped!
sorry in advance mods if this is inappropriate for its own thread, maybe I should have just posted in the criterion thread? |

Love to see any vintage Criterion on Blu--
Rented the old version in preparation of "Nine", and...okay, so Mastroianni is completely devoid of sympathy, Fellini keeps putting the exact same chauvinist-Italian misogynist female fantasies in every one of his movies, and the arrogant "poor, persecuted director" snottiness of Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" hadn't completely been Woody's fault like we'd thought it was (he was just copying!), but still one more Criterion classic nevertheless! ![]() |

Hopefully a lot more movies like this will start coming out on BD. I've had to stop watching some art-films recently because the PQ was just too poor. I'm thinking I might have to invest in a TV set (I have projector) to watch older DVDs if they don't start coming out with more/better BDs soon ![]() |
