Squaretrade Warranties

So my 52 inch Samsung LCD's 3 yr warranty has now expired (which i originally purchased from Circuit City)... I know how expensive repair cost can be, so i was thinking of purchasing a 3 yr warranty with Squaretrade for $219.

If they cant fix it they will give me a check for the cost of the tv... I also heard that these types of tv's are unfixable

Has anyone used this service and how reliable are they? Or is there another company you can recommend?

I think you can't buy a warranty for them anymore. It's way over your purchased date. They will required the original receipt for you to be cover. I think they give 30 days from purchase date for you to buy a warranty from them. anybody else have an idea?

Most modern electronics last a long time if they survive the first two or three years after purchase. The likelihood of failure after that is very low. I would relax and enjoy the set, unless your household is a danger zone of some kind. Maybe buy a nice surge protector and power conditioner.

That looks good. I use an APC conditioner, but Monster makes good stuff usually.
