Default mold

i noticed while cleaning some of my 7" discs that some had a little mold on the lable. is there any way to fully clean the mold and to prevent it from returning? i didnt see anything in a search of the forums. most of my discs were fine that goodness.

edit: i should also that i would like to be able to get rid of it without damaging the lable.

Default Something you might try

I don't know if it will remove the mold, but I've been using Swiffer clothes to clean the labels of my garage sale/thrift store LP's, 45's and 78's. They remove light dirt without damage. They also seem to "polish" the labels, restoring the shiny appearance.

You need a "moldicide" or however you spell it..... they sell it at Home-Depot etc.... I would put it on a rag, and dab it, so you don't soak it into the label..... it smells terrible though, so I'd leave them all out to "air-Out" afterwards.....

If the mold is under the label though, and you don't really soak it in there.... it will return under the right conditions........

Perhaps UV light kills mold.... don't know

thanks for the responses.
im a little nervous about using chemicals when im unsure of how it will affect the vinyl itself. perhaps it wouldnt if i used very little.
was hoping someone had some experience in this matter.
