How awesome would this be?

Given that it was a TV movie, I'd imagine that it was shot on film but edited on videotape for TV, so they'd have to go back to the original negatives to make a BD release. I'm not even sure there'd be a big enough fanbase for this though, unfortunately. Original non-bootleg copies of the DVD still go for crazy prices on eBay, and I kick myself for missing out when it was available..but this would be a definite day one purchase for me

I've recently fallen in love with this and so dearly want it to get some kind of release.

This is actually one of my favorite movies for nostalgic reasons. I would preorder this on blu-ray. Lets start a petition for this release.
