Question Trouble with Netflix sign up.

I keep punching in the code exactly where it tells me to.. But then it says to enter a credit card. It won't let me use the gift certificate it seems. Anybody have the same problem..? I'm having people over Friday and wanna show something I don't own.. And if it doesn't work..

You have to put in a credit card even if you have a gift card for subsequent months.

i had the same exact problem a few weeks ago and the only way to join is to put the credit card number in. also, why are you joining netflix, to get movies sent to your house or to stream direct to a player???

i dont know why, but the movies i stream to my lg bd390 are absolutely horrific looking! they come out very grainy, sound isnt hd sounding at all and the movie pauses all the time cause its slow. and although my player is wireless, i have it wired for a better/faster service. im not sure which player you have, or if your even joining to stream videos, but you might want to ask around for others with your player...i joined and already canceled in the past 2 weeks

I myself use netflix for the streaming (and mail rented movies) and it's actually pretty damn good. it depends on ones connection I suppose. I have 15mbps down 1mbps up direct wired.

When HD streams act like that it's usually because there isn't enough bandwith. Two people in my house have Netflix streaming and if we both are trying to access HD material at the same time it acts like you described. We have 15m DL bandwith.
