Joss Whedon's Dollhouse - Blu-ray Forum

Is anyone else excited for this? I can't wait for something new from Whedon. I have high hopes but I know Fox is already tampering HEAVILY with the show and there have been many reshoots and rewrites. Don't know who is fully responsible for that but the show will be premiering soon!

Premiere is 02/13/09 Friday night.

Looking forward to it but I know I will once again be stuck in a show I love canceled after the mid point. And it's on FOX on Friday night so I am not expecting too much at this point.

I love Josh Whedon and he need's to stop working with FOX, they just destroy everything he does.

This is the correct answer. It makes me sad to see he is in league with Fox yet again just knowing they will destroy this show as well.

No, that is not the correct answer. You other "fans" apparently don't check many other sites or sources often as both Whedon himself as well as others have explained away all the outcry-hooplah that certain fans or naysayers have been exclaiming.

It was both Fox and Joss' decision to retool and shoot a different pilot and thus far Fox has been nothing but supportive of the series.

If they are supportive then why place it in the horrific Friday night timeslot? That's where shows go to die.

Are they still calling it "Dollhouse"?--
Thought at one point, the title was changed to "Syns", so people wouldn't think it was a lesbian prison drama...

I don't have a lot of faith in Fox, but I do have faith in Joss Whedon. If Fox doesn't give it enough time the show will die. I'm hopeful that they don't do to Dollhouse what they did with Firefly. At least Fridays will have a couple of great shows to watch now.

My one worry is the casting. Eliza Dushku is hit or miss for me... well hit and one big miss. I thought her acting in Tru Calling was really bland. She had no depth =/.

Joss Whedon seems to bring the best out in his casts though. I'm not to nervous about her being the lead.

I'm excited just because it's Whedon and it has Eliza Dushku in it! She was always my favorite in Buffy as well so as long as Fox does'nt screw it up somehow it should be great.

... What are you talking about? "Dollhouse" is not horror and Joss of course has nothing to do with "Friday the 13th" (although, Joss is certainly more than familiar and capable with horror).

Not many seem optimistic with the show for obvious reasons, I myself however, can't wait!
