Hi there!

I watched last night the bd and was quite shocked on the end, because i saw this movie back when it was on the theaters and the end was different!

The movie doesnt say director's cut or anything in that line, so i wonder why did we (spain) got a different ending.

[Show spoiler]In here Cusack got saved by firemen when he falls on the floor hitted by the fire ball. The next scene was him opening stuff in a new house with his wife back together, and then she finds the recording machine and listens their daughter talking with him as appeared before in the movie, cusack hugged her and the end.

In the other hand the bd i saw last night (us import) had him dead, a funeral right after, and Samuel L. Jackson brings the recording machine for the widow, she doesn't want it so he is about to leave in his car but press the play button and while he is laughing he turns his head and that guy from the room with the knife appears right behind going to stab him but dissappears. The end.

I wonder why they changed the end in Spain! but actually i found better the one in here than the "original" from the BD.

Anybody watched the movie in theaters or have seen the ending i saw by any chance?

It's the same here in the US. The theatrical ending is the same one you describe, but it's nowhere on the disc. It's a shame -- having an alternate ending would be cool, but the original version should be included.

The were several other differences too -- a number of scenes were rearranged or removed altogether. Again, cool -- IF you get both versions. But we didn't.

After reading your comments I rechecked mine and it has a total of 3 endings on the disc, 1 for the film and 2 alt endings. I have had mine for a long time so I am not sure where it came from looks like the US version, the SKU on it is 796019815246

yea I've seen both endings and I didnt like the bd version

I've seen the theatrical ending is included on the special features as alternate ending on SD not less...
