Default Fist of the North Star on Blu-ray

Is this on Blu-ray? Coming to Blu-ray? I've searched Amazon UK and only found DVD/VHS stuff, but I also found an odd looking Italian version here on blu-ray.com. I'm not a huge anime fan, but I recall Fist of the North Star being pretty damn awesome.

The original series and film have been scanned in HD, though are yet to see Blu-ray transfers. The latest R1/R2 DVDs were remastered using these scans.
The various Hokuto no Ken Blu-ray releases in Italy/France are the modern (2006 onwards) gaiden OVAs.

I want them to bring over the movies they did not to long ago. They did a few with kens brothers and the like.

In 2005, North Stars Pictures and TMS Entertainment announced the development of a five-part film series titled Fist of the North Star: The Legends of the True Savior.[22] The series is composed of three theatrical films and two OVAs, which were released during a three-year period between 2006 throughout 2008, culminating with the 25th anniversary of the franchise.[23]

I used to own a pretty good bootleg set of Fist of the North Star (I didn't know it was bootleg at the time) several years ago.

It was every single episode split into four Digipacks. Each set had a plastic slipcover, and when folded out had original poster images on each section. The packaging was so well done which is why I thought it was legit. It wasn't until a few years later that I noticed a Yahoo email address on the disc art printed around the outside lol

Sold it for something like NZ250, and regret it

Did the whole series ever get an English dub? I think only the first few episodes did.

I would certainly buy a Blu-Ray release if it had good subtitles though.

Just the first 36 did. I enjoyed hearing Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Mamiya, but I did not like the altered soundtrack. Yuck!

Also the movie. There are also dubbed compilation films of the TV series that have never been released.
