India/Bollywood Raavan Tamil Version

Quoting Sunny "I can now confimed that Raavan (Tamil) version will be coming to blu-ray from Ayngaran...

We are using the DPX master supervised by Mani Ratnam. In addtion, we will use the 5.1 DTS-MA studio master approved by A.R. Rahman.

Release date will be around late Aug/Early Sep.

No special features have yet to be confirmed".

BOOYAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! The PQ and AQ indeed will be flawless.

Vanakam thambi!!! And it's Raavanan, and not Raavan. This movie was a hit in the south. I'm guessin' the Hindi did not fare as much.

5.1 DTS-MA approved by A.R. Rahman?!

The Telugu version is the same as the Tamil one, only dubbed. If it were to get released on blu-ray, it should be as an audio track on the same disc as the Tamil film.

I personally feel the movie is just about characteristic , talent, expressions, and the most important thing is the narration of the story is right on flow.

So, this is going to be a definite hit release..

They dont have to be new movies...ayngaran has huge catalogue of dvds they can turn into blu rays...my personal picks would be dasavataram and vaaranam aayiram (v. ravichandran is a big f***ing d*** for refusing blu rays!!!)

What im basically trying to say is until they release big movies like paiyya or singam, its best to release an older title into bluray every week/month

yeah I see what u mean and count me in , I'd love to have more movies in bluray. But I guess the movie makers are just too cost conscious especially since the bluray market for tamil movies is still in its infancy ...

I guess Oscar Ravichandran's monstrous ego will bring his own downfall.

Any news on this BD release? It will be defenitely an awesome treat to our eyes. Even though the movie is flop, it would be worth watching the great visuals in BD HD.
