Default Selling my stuff...Need some advice

I am getting ready to move away for 3 months. I was going to put my stuff in storage until I got an offer from a friend to buy my TV for $200 plus a plane ticket which in this case is $300. I need a plane ticket anyway, so it works out. I was trying to figure out if I should make the deal or not because I feel I am on the good end of it. My TV is 2 years old and I need a bigger one anyway. What are y'alls thought/objections/ideas?

Let me know
Thanks everyone.

Getting locked up, eh? J/K

I would say it totally depends on your financial situation after the three month period. If you would like to upgrade your equipment and have the means to do so, then why not?

I don't know what you have right now, but the equivalent of $500 sounds like a pretty good deal for any 2 year old TV.

Edit: If this is the TV in your sig, then jump on that deal immediately!

Agree! 500 for a used 2 year old set is great especially since that bracket of tv (37'') on bestbuy the best non-led is only 800 and thats brand new take the deal!

Alright, thanks for the input. I figured I should sell it especially since I need the plane ticket anyway. I figure prices will probably drop in the next 3 months (while I wont need a TV) anyway.

If it's not a hd tv, then you are lucky if you get $200 dollars. I had a 40 inch, and I only got 100 bucks for it. It wasn't an hd tv, it was one of them old heavy ones. If you really need some money, then look for something else to sell. Technology loses it's value very quick. I bought an mp3 player for 100 dollars 2 years ago, and when I took it to the pawn shop, the guy only gave me 20 dollars. I didn't use it anymore so I took the money. You could see what the people say from the pawn shop, if you don't like the deal then sell it to your friend. They can tell you how much it's worth.

never mind, I just read your sig. yeah 500 bucks is probably a good deal. Don't take it to a pawn shop, they won't give you 500 bucks. But like I said, technology does lose its value.
