Odds are that the sub that comes in a HTiB will be lacking quite a bit on the low end. But before we get into anything else....I will ask the one question we need answered.....what are you willing to spend?

You are better off saving up for a decent mid level sub (eD A2-300 at $350). Having dual subs will help spread out the bass in a large room if placed apart or give you a little more output if stacked. But for an apartment you would see a much bigger difference in sound quality with an upgraded single sub. I would save up and sell your current sub when you have enough for the new sub.

I knew this was coming. Work got busy, hockey season started, and wife got pregnant. It is amazing how much my free time has dwindled and the kid isn't even here yet! I'm amazed at how far along your HT has come.

Thank you!!! Always trying to improve....did you see me adding the second PC12-NSD sub just this past Monday? But like yourself....I have very, very little time to enjoy it. My 5 yr old daughter and soon to be 1 year old son completely dominate all my free time...so I understand.

I will only be reiterating what everyone else has mentioned. You should save for a better sub.

Save for a better sub, and use it to replace the sub that came with your HTIB. Chances are the HTIB sub has poor bass response and is boomy. I would fully remove it from the system.
