Question Lee Unkrich's next Pixar film?

Not sure if this is worthy of its own thread, but Lee Unkrich (co-director of Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., & Finding Nemo, director of Toy Story 3) posted the following on Twitter recently:

Quote:
Tomorrow is a big day that may determine the next four years of my life. Wish me luck.
I can only assume he's either pitching a new film at Pixar or finding out if a previous pitch has been greenlit or not.

If it is a pitch, hopefully it's something good. Pixar left me so disappointed after Cars 2, I don't know if I can trust them anymore. At least Lee Unkrich has a good track record so far.

They released 11 spectacular movies and because they release 1 you didn't like, you can't trust them again? Kind of harsh.

Yeah. It's sort of like not trusting your wife after she cheats on you(ok, really bad analogy). I guess I'm still shocked after watching it. Maybe Brave will be good. I don't know, I've just been so disappointed with animated films lately, especially when Dreamworks and 20th Century Fox's animated films are so subpar and everyone regards them so highly. I hope Pixar keeps making movies like Up, which is probably one of the best movies in general in years. I guess I'm just over-reacting lol. They're just movies.

Or like being disillusioned in an multi-medal-winning Olympic Decathlon runner after you see him just crossing the street at a nice brisk jog...What, he's not allowed to?

Lee Unkrich has started a Tumblr account chronicling his "road to the next one." He will be posting a new picture each day as he works on what is presumably his next film at Pixar.

Check it out: leeunkrich.tumblr.com

You may be taking your movie watching a tad too seriously!
