This may be a bit off topic, but I'm hoping someone can help me. I got the Star Trek Blu-ray and am having trouble getting the digital copy.
When I put the disk in, it brings up Media player and tells me it can't plan the DVD because it's not the righ region. When I try clicking on the file (disknav.exe, or something similar), it tells me it's not a valid Win32 program. I'm running Windows 7. Has anyone else run into this and might now how to get the file? |

If iTunes is not open, it will ask you to run the exe or whatever off the CD. |

For some reason the only choice I have in the window that opens asking me what to use is Media player, and that comes up even with iTunes open.
And I did verify I have the most recent version of iTunes. |

I had a similar frustrating problem. Not exactly the same but this is how I got around it.
1. When you put the disk in, go to folder view, D: Drive (or whatever letter your rom is) 2. Pick the wmv.exe file and it should open up with 2 files to choose from, one for the PC and one for a portable device. 3. Click on the one for PC and it should open up with a small window like it is going to let it play. 4. It will ask for the Code and go ahead and enter it. The movie should start playing at that point. 5. Word of warning- this will use up your activation code so if you keep attempting via the conventional method to get the disc to open up and auto prompt you for the "Transfer File" you will get a message that tells you the code is used already. 6.Exit out of the player, whatever comes up. 7. Go back to the file as you did through Step 2 and right click on it. 8. Select COPY and then go paste it onto your desktop (or wherever you want) 9. The bar will come up and it will start transferring it over. 10. When mine was finished (I have Windows 7 also) I went and dropped it into Libraries- Videos where all my other movies are. 11. Test it- after the transfer is done and you have moved it to the folder you want it in, click on it and it should open up and start playing. I dont see this as a sidestep of the code because I lost my insert for Hangover and when I tried this it wouldnt let me do the copy without a code ebing enter. |

When I do this, will I then be able to import it into iTunes? |

Any way you can try that disc on another machine and see if you are having the same problem? |

Check the trading forum for a code. Perhaps they will give you one there. At most, you will get charged 1-2 dollars. Or call the studio and they can probably give you one for no charge if you tell them yours is blank.

Yes your assumption is correct. I am not sure. I double clicked it and it just started playing in WMP. If you dropped it into your ITUNES folder and then opened up ITunes and tried to play it that way I am not sure what would happen. |

I had a similar problem with mine. Just write an email to ParamountDigitalCopy Support <ParamountSupport@digitalcopysupport.com>, they will send you a new code. ![]() |

I tried it on my old computer and it wouldn't even read the disc. My only other option is my Windows Vista laoptop, but I don't have iTunes on it. I guess I could download it, but then if it worked I'd have to figure out how to get it onto my desktop.

Try the vista desktop. You can transfer the video from one itunes machine to another as long as it's used under the SAME ACCOUNT for itunes.
