Takers Review Thread (Spoilers)

I'm sure if movie posters could talk, this one would be shouting at the top of it's lungs; "DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE, IT'S GOT THE WORST CAST IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD! DO YOU WANT TO WATCH ANAKIN SKYWALKER ACT AGAIN? NO! DO YOU WANT TO SEE CHRIS BROWN IN A MOVIE? NO! RUN FOR THE MOTHERF***ING HILLS!"

I believe this might be our Razzie of 2010 right here. This thing has been pushed back as many times as The Wolfman. And honestly, this cast is full of FAIL on an epic proportion. Here's the Wikipage and here's the synopsis:

A group of bank robbers (Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Paul Walker, T.I., Idris Elba and Hayden Christensen), who specialize in spectacular robberies, are pulled into one last job by a recently paroled cohort, only to be pitted against a hard-boiled detective (Matt Dillon) who interrupts their $20 million heist.

Would you see this film?

Why make a post about it then lol? And I think it looks awful but you're telling me Idris Elba is a bad actor? His movies aren't good but he was pretty good on The Office and The Wire.

The story sounds interesting but the casts I am not sure about. Except for Matt Dillon of course.

I know Elba has done some good stuff, but the rest of the actors, man. Christensen, Brown, T.I., and on vast stretch here, Walker isn't really that good of an actor.

I agree with the OP. This may be the worst movie poster I've ever seen and I feel like it's practically on its knees begging me not to waste my time or money on this movie.

They have a massive cardboard stand of that poster in my theater, lifesize Chris Brown really makes me glad I'm not a small defenseless woman.

Haha, they had a poster tacked up outside. But what I discovered was that the local theater in town has posters hanged up outside on the sides of the building where no one will see it. And obviously, they haven't changed these posters in months because they had It's Complicated next to Takers. It's Complicated all ready played and left yet it's still up. It's the theaters dead zone.

Chris Brown does look he's about to assault someone on that poster.

Idris Elba and Michael Ealy are 2 very underrated actors! Yall shouldnt judge this film before u see it or atleast get more info on it. I have a feeling it might actually be ok. Well see. Got Em!!

Idris was fantastic on the Wire, but was horribly miscast on the Office. I think he's only good at one kind of role, and it usually involved crime. I still won't see this movie cause I don't support domestic violence and anything with Chris Brown getting paid without prison time, does just that.

Never seen the Office. I am talkin about his acting skills in general. He is a very good actor. Got Em!!

I have only seen him in the Wire and the Office, and between those he will obviously be Stringer Bell to me, I just can't bring myself to watch the movies he's in cause they always look so horrible. Like that interracial fatal attraction rip off, had nothing to do with the races it just in general looked like an absolutely horrible ripoff.

Well u cant really give an opinion or judge a film if u havnt seen it. I liked him in This Christmas & RocknRolla. He was cool in Obsessed also but yea its a Fatal Attraction ripoff. Got Em!!

I agree with Idris Elba, very underrated. I think he might have to fire his agent, for getting him into crap like this and obssessed.

Hey watch your mouth, Wayne's World is a good movie, Wayne's World 2 on the other hand...

I do think Obsessed is crap, it's an ok movie right before it turns into "BEYONCE VS THE WHITE WOMAN" "Whoever wins, we lose". and a strong feeling about this is going to be not as good also, it looks about as generic and forgetable as the movie armored that came out in december and did nothing. If your a new-comer actor, you don't want forgettable tosh, like this and Obsessed. You want memerable thing, where you can really showcase what you can do.
