Default 3D bluray

Maybe a stupid question but can you watch a 3D only movie on a 2D TV?

Thanks and I guess I'm out of luck since I don't have a 3D bluray player.

Your second statement makes the first question stupid.

How so?
You can watch a DVD in a BD player, right? So I thought maybe you could watch it in a 2D player and it would only play 1 video track or something...

Don't mind the other person.

If you're interested in 3D, there's an entire sub-forum dedicated to it.

Well don't mind that other person,as instead of links and endless reading I will give you a couple of quick answers.
You can't watch a 3D blu-ray on a 2D TV because firstly you need a compatible 3D player which you have stated you don't have and even if you did have the player then you would need it to recognise a 3D TV...which you don't have!
To answer your earlier question,A BD player simply upscales a DVD,it is totally different technology when it comes to 2D/3D.

If you have access to a suitably specced PC or laptop with Powerdvd you can watch a 3d film on a 2d screen. You may need to be running anydvd or the likes but im not sure of that.
