Default Hair donation

Just cut off 13.5" of hair to donate to Wigs for Kids.
Grew it out for two and a half years, and it was sad to see it go, but I know it's going to a well put together organization.

Anyone else donate hair before, and if so, to which organization?

I did the same thing years ago.... Donated to "Locks of Love". They use human hair for wigs so cancer patients that have lost their hair due to chemotherapy can afford nice wigs. They look incredible!

My wife and my nephew have both donated hair to Locks of Love. These are great organizations.

The one time I really had the chance(let the hair grow for about a year 1/2) I passed it up because I was an idiot. I decided to let my friend just hack it all off, it's something I wish I would have done. We'll see though, I might redeem myself one day in reguards to it.

To anyone who does donate their hair, I know personally that the people who need to use the wigs are very greatful. My mom has had to use them two separate times in her life, although the second time she used them much less..

And, not to leave anything out to dry. She is cancer free today, and doing well.

Thinking about doing it. Waiting for my hair grow back some more. Mine grows fast. My wife has a friend who is involved with a program.

My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer 6 months ago..she's responded well to the chemo so far.

Going to the treatment centers opened my eyes.

+1. My GF cut off over 10 inches of her hair awhile back and donated it to Locks of Love.
