Opinion's of These Films?? - Blu-ray Forum

I am into horror films and I so want to get these titles on blu now that they were released but I am sorta scared about horror films I know nuthin about. Have any of yall seen any of these films and if so what is your opinion of them? Any and all feedback is appreciated. Maybe yall can help me make up my mind. These are the titles I am interested in. Got Em!!

Deadline
Wicked Lake
Across the Hall
The House of the Devil
The Lost
Freeway Killer

Only seen The Girl Next Door.

Its not a horror really. More like a scary drama based on a true story. Involves some pretty gruesome scenes, involving rape and torture, of and by young children. A good movie. 8/10

Yea man I am interested in each and everyone of the titles I posted but sumthin is still holdin me back from blind buyin. Let me ask u. Is the Girl Next Door like An American Crime? Are they similar? I havnt seen either so dont give me any spoilers but just wanted to know if they are similar? Thanks. Got Em!!

Yes there is a similarity to a degree. Definitely not horror.

Nope. Have not even heard of most of them.

The Girl Nextdoor is fairly good though.

Both the original and remake of Toolbox Murders are pretty good slasher flicks.

Sup Mike. Yea I been hearing about that one for a while now. Just scared of subtitles as I havnt gotten used to watching a whole film like that. Got Em!!

Ok that seems to be the one I am hearing good things about so maybe Ill get that one. Still wanna know more about the others listed if anyone has seen them. Got Em!!

I've heard good things about TRIANGLE which I bought but haven't watched yet-- will try to get it watched this week--

Not much. I've been really busy at work and my wife is doing a play, so I've been busy with my 10 month old son at home.

I forgot that the remake wasn't on Blu yet. The original is very brutal. Or, at least I thought it was.

I have Triangle because I wanted it after reading the review on this site, but I have yet to watch it. Sounds good, though.

I also just ordered Blood Creek, sounds okay. I'll probably get House of the Devil eventually, too.

House of the Devil has gotten some good reviews on rotten tomato. However it was 29.99 at frys. Haha! Got Em!!

Both movies use the same base material. An American Crime stars a-list actor Ellen Page, and its a bit commercialized; which means a little less exploitative than the other version (still R rating though). Because I'm a huge fan of Ellen Page, I value both movies equally (though the first one is more rough and real imho).

Yea I have An American Crime recorded in HD on my DVR so I will check that out. I will most likely blind buy the Girl Next Door. Have u seen any of the other films I listed? Got Em!!
