Default need a fan

just bought a new tv stand my receiver yamaha 465 sits a little to close to the shelf above it i saw on some of the home theater pictures that some had fans in the stands can anyone let me know what would be a good fan and where to get one

So there's several ways you can accomplish cooling your rack. For me though, I had an old computer that was ready to be scrapped, so I removed the two 12V DC cooling fans that were in it and rigged them up to cool my system. I recently added a temperature sensor to actually measure the AVR/amp temps now. Check my gallery for some photos if you are interested.

You could buy a cooling set up on line, or get some 12V fans and run with it.

I'm needing fans also. I saw some at coolerguys.com that looked pretty nice. I may try these.

thanks to everyone i found just what i needed just a little bit more my receiver has just about an inch clearance between the shelf above it it does not adjust so i am going to buy the fan that you cut a hole in the back and mount it would it be better to have it blow the hot air out or blow air in
