Default "We Are The World" Remake

The official video for the new version of Michael Jackson's "We Are The World" was released during the viewing of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

Here's the video (The music start's at 1:05): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Glny4...ature=featured

For comparison, here is the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne7fPpxAnuM

Have any thoughts? Was it better than the original?

I would like it if it weren't for Miley Cyrus that Justin kid and the autotune and raps. The original is far better.

Ditch the kid, Cyrus, the Jonas brother that is there, the auto-tune rappers and the majority of people there who can't sing and bring in Carrie Underwood, Beyonce, Chris Daughtry and anyone else who can actually sing good enough to record this song.

Original is better. New one, seriously can't they come up with something original anymore.

I am going to go against what people said. I was very much around for the original and loved it. I happen to like the remake. Whether you hate the artist or not, they are putting relevant (I use that term loosely) artist of the times into it. I love the original more, but this version is not too bad. I do like how Michael Jackson was put into the song.

Overall, thumbs up

I'd rather listen to Kenny G on repeat for a week straight then listen to this utter crap remake.

The original had a WAY better talent pool of artists.

The new one only had a small handful of people who could actually sing. Very disappointed.

+1

I watched in amazement at the "talent" they had for the remake. Just goes to show what a laughable state the music industry is in.

The original is a masterpiece. The remake is a joke. (The rapping? Unbearable. I want to break my computer right now just thinking about it.)

That said, I hope it raises a lot of money from people who like the cause, or somehow can name 40% of the "talent" in the video.
