United Kingdom Fantastic Mr. Fox (March 1st 2010)

The UK 3-disc (BD/DVD/Digital Copy) set is out now. Does anyone know of the subtitle and region status on this version?

It's just a two disc set, the DVD holds both the SD version and digital copy. The Blu-ray is locked to region B, the DVD to region 2.

Thanks. What about languages/subtitles?

On the feature there are only English 5.1 DTS-HD MA and English Descriptive Audio tracks and only English for Deaf + HoH subtitles.

Watched it today and sold it on already. Didn't like it at all, more the aesthetics of the whole thing.

Does anyone know if the edition being sold on Amazon UK is the ‘triple-play’ Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy edition? Before it was released, it said it was in the title, but this was amended on release day to simply ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox [Blu-Ray]’, and the box would seem to indicate otherwise. Also, while some retailers are only selling the triple play edition, I've seen at least one selling a single-disc Blu-Ray only copy. Can anyone who's ordered it from Amazon enlighten me?

Man, why is Fantastic Mr Fox still so expensive?! Its been 17,99£ for over half a year now, Blu Rays always drop in price during that period

It's been given the '(500) Days Of Summer' treatment. That basically means, it costs more now than it did on release day, and the price just will not go down. Atleast for the foreseeable future. Shame, as I quite fancied seeing this. Not at £17.99 I don't, though.

Oh man, that's terrible news!

It's an amazing little gem! Everyone should own it, but i'm not shelling out that much... I just dont get it! Look at "Predators": Just came out and its already down to 9,99£ at Amazon!

Where does the blame lie? Fox International (which is one of the worst Blu Ray studios btw) or the retailers? Im getting to the bottom of this!

Is it because its a Triple Play, that its so expensive? It doesnt even mention that on Amazon...

The rather weird thing was Ice Age 3 is that the trilogy box set is actually cheaper! On Amazon it's £17.93 against £19.06 for just the third film.

Anyway, back on topic of Fantastic Mr. Fox, I'm also annoyed that it still hasn't come down in price, I really liked it and wanted to watch it again but I'm not paying that price for something that's not a new release.

and it's STILL over £17 on most places online.

Although 2nd hand copies are more reasonable, just ordered a claimed 'unused copy with slip' for £12 via an amazon 3rd party..

Similar question could be Why is Up In The Air and 500 Days of Summer still 17,99? Why is The A-Team when you cant it 50% off in the States? Why is Michael Clayton still 15,99?

It makes no sense!
