Default Rear Speaker Question

Have been using a 3 channel setup L/C/R with pioneer elite and want to add rear speakers I dont have a base yet but am curious does it matter the type of rear speaker I use in both quality and make?

Thanks

I would advise you to use the same model and make of your other speakers to keep a uniformed sound stage.

What model/s are your front speakers exactly? What model is your receiver?

Also consider that you may want to add a subwoofer to the mix next and add surrounds after that. Just a thought.

I just saw your thread in the subwoofer forum. Progers responded and asked you some questions. If you would answer those it would be a big help.
