My personal favorite is Tobey Maguire because I grew up on the movies, but hardcore comic book reading me is voting for Andrew Garfield. He actually embodies Peter & Spider-Man 616 the best and was robbed of his role if I'm being honest. Holland is still awesome though for different reasons.

I love all three for what they brought to each movie.

A fair and balanced opinion. Post more here.

Tobey Maguire.

Tom Holland is a good Spider kid, but Tobey is the Spider man.

all three have their pros and cons.

I went for Holland because he fits the role best in my opinion.

I really wish Garfield had better material to work with

McGuire all the way. He personified young superhero before the MCU era. He didn't play it quite as much at a teenage level as Holland.

Andrew Garfield is absolutely awful.

Holland is nice as a younger teenage level Spiderman.

McGuire also wins on the virtue of having the best Spiderman film. Spiderman 2 film is CBM masterpiece. And his love story carried weight compared to the other two which are flimsy.

Tobey Maguire.

Didn't care much for Andrew Garfield and don't like Tom Holland at all.

We must be close in age, I grew up with the Maguire movies as well. I remember seeing it when it first came out and completely falling in love with the character. It was my first introduction to Spider-Man too. I was 6 years old.

Man I watched that DVD over and over and over. Spider-Man 3 was the first Blu-ray I ever got too. I was 11 years old then. Still feel nostalgic when I see that beautiful slipcover on there... I can never totally hate that movie.

Ugh.

Tobey portrayed an amazing Peter Parker (but came across as whiny man child in later films) and captured a Christopher Reeve like nostalgia for being Spider-Man.

Andrew was way too hipster of a Parker (though more of an Ultimate/Spectacular interpretation) but he nailed the sarcastic humor and witty quips as Spider-Man.

Tom on the other hand perfectly encapsulates the awkwardness of a high school Peter Parker while also being a charismatic and charmingly heroic Spidey.

Though, the association with Stark technology, Karen HUD, assistance from Fury, and supporting role of being an Avenger somewhat hinders what makes Parker’s Spider-Man the quick thinking, intelligent, creative innovator self reliant hero he is.

Nostalgia sake would be Tobey, and overall entertainment is a vote for Holland.

Garfield is the best Peter Parker/Spider-man. Maguire has the best single film. Holland is admirable, but stuck in lame duck sitcom films.

From the three choices, anyone but Maguire, I find him unwatchable as PP/S.

Holland. More likable than the other two, and closer in age to an actual teenager.

Garfield is a great actor but was far too old to be playing a high school student. Maguire was also too old, and isn't appealing at all. His lisp/constant mouth full of saliva is very annoying.
