Yeah, you could say that again. You did a fantastic job!

Perhaps you could list your gear in your gallery or in a post. I would love to see what you have!

Fantastic set-up! I assume you did it yourself which, at least to me, always adds a level of respect and genuineness. I really like your entrance. The popcorn machine and concession stand display and old Mexican movie star (I assume their not pictures of your family ) framed pictures really add to the theater feel! You know a Cantinflas movie poster would really be a nice touch!!!

Are those kids seating I see directly behind the curtain? If they are, where did you get them - they look leather-like and I know my three kids would love something like that. Congrats!

Yeah I forgot to mention my stuff.
First of all I am a very frugal shopper. I was lucky enough to find most of my stuff either used or on clearance.

Homemade screen 92" 16:9 black out cloth with black velvet border. I recently made some masks for the 2:35 widescreen movies that simply stick on with magnets.

Sanyo plv60 720p projector. The image is superb! - bought new from b&H
Yamaha rxv1800 receiver floor model at BB $650
carver TFM45 amp for front speakers bought for $230 local pawn shop
Polk audio LSI9's bought used at pawn shop for $350.
Speakercraft AIM ONE LCR center channel speaker bought at local pawn shop for $180.00
Polk audio tsi100 rear speakers- circuit city liquidation sale $139.00
Buttkicker LFE300 kit for seats $199.00 winter sale
monster HTS1600 power conditioner $60.00 clearance best buy.
Kmart home theater seating. One two arm chair Sale $220.00
3 one arm chairs on sale for $199.00 each
front row Meijer gaming chairs for kids $24.00 on sale
Popcorn machine-garage sale $100.00 it was mint

I did everything myself including electrical, paint, wallpaper ceiling, flooring. Actually the only thing I did not do is carpet the stage.

We have the same projector and I use a 92" 16:9 manual screen, plus I use Polks (not as well as yours) and I also have a Buttkicker! Nice steals you got there for some of your goods (no pun intended... )

I think the PQ on this projector (with good light control, which I have and I see you have as well) looks awesome too.

Tell me more about the masks you use and how you made them? How big is the picture for 2.35:1 movies then?

I actually do have a cantinflas poster and many more Mexican Actors from The Golden age of mexican theater. Actually the name of the theater is Epoca De Oro. I have a huge Pedro Infante poster also.

The front row are gaming chairs from Meijer. $24.00 on sale. I think currently they are like $30 or $35. I like those very much because they don't have speakers or anything.

What are those seats in the front?? Pretty clever idea to get 2 rows of seating without building a riser

edit - just saw your response in an earlier post

Nothing better than watching a Cantinflas movie on Telemundo every holiday with tamales and some arroz con leche.

Cheers.

P.S. Nice setup

LOL....I think my "budget" could handle two of them.....$50 plus shipping....not too shabby. But I think I will wait it out...my daughter can't sit still for more than 10 minutes anyway.
