In terms of TV shows, you can add anything filmed on video to the list.

and thats all due to music licencing if it was ever released, all the music would be replaced, and it would ruin it.

I didn't mind the first season DVD with replaced soundtrack. Are you sure this would never be released by Fox (Long after syndication ends of course). I think this show had a big enough fan base that would bring in huge profits. It was much more commercially successful than say King of the Hill.

Not only was this show written well, it was produced well. They paved the way for single camera filming (Scrubs, The Office, etc...) And it was filmed with 35mm Panavision cameras. I don't buy many comedies on BLU. But if ever released, I would buy this.

BTW: Anyone own the first season Malcolm DVD? What's with the picture quality? I wonder If the show was shot on tape for the first season. The DVD's were interlaced, and had had way to much edge enhancement. On second thought it was on film because they used 4:3 safe to conceal camera equipment. I wonder if the DVD was made from a post production tape.

But in short: If Fox attempted to clear music. It would sell

Miami Vice, Hogan's Heroes, Wise Guy, and F Troop will all probably never see the light of day on BD.

Pretty much the majority of my DVD 80's and 90's cartoon collection. Transformers, Thundercats, G.I. Joe, He-man, She-ra, Batman Animated series, Superman Animated series, Batman Beyond, Beast Wars, Dungeons and Dragons, Voltron, Justice League( I believe only the 1st season was release on blu ray) just to name a few.

Although I don't know how much of a quality improvement over the DVDs even if they were going to release it on blu ray. They look pretty good to me anyways.

The Wonder Years. In any format apparently due to music rights. Such a shame we'll never be able to experience it again.
