Thinking you could possibly top the original and Brandon Lee? You dicks! I bet they cast Lautner or Efron as Draven
![]() It's been a few months since we've heard any updates on the proposed reboot for The Crow, which Blade director Stephen Norrington was attached to helm. While producer Ryan Kavanaugh gave a quick update about the project back in November, last month Norrington was announced as boarding The Lost Patrol, a World War II supernatural action thriller for Legendary Pictures. According to a brief chat with Mania, Norrington is still on board. "The producer and visual effects people are crunching numbers. We've opened discussions with major cast but nothing is final yet," says Norrington. Considering The Crow script is already completed and it is a hot property, he tells the web-publication that it'll probably shoot before The Lost Patrol, possibly by this summer. "Cast and budget and schedules will no doubt continue to adjust all equations." Based on James O'Barr's original self-produced '80s comic book, "The Crow" was the basis of the 1994 Alex Proyas movie starring Brandon Lee and went on to spawn three sequels. Source |

Does this idiot realize that the movie works as a seperate entity that you can enjoy both as a movie and graphic novel? I like both a lot since they're different and there's an extended cut rumored for the Crow anyway. So what the hell does he think he can do different? If you want to go make your own Crow then go ahead but Eric Draven's story was done quite well and Brandon Lee will always forever be Eric Draven.
Not some schmuck like Robert Parkinson disease. And it's not like the sequels tarnished The Crow, only one deals with the first movie and that movie probably isn't available in stores anyway. Not many people even know it has sequels. Unlike Halloween and Friday the 13th and Nightmare, these sequels don't tarnish the first film or have any effect on the series. I hope someone told Norrington that Del Toro's Blade is so much superior to his one. I barely remember the first movie and always have little urge to watch it. I liked it but 2 is the fun joyride. |

![]() I feel they will top it's craptasticness with this remake. You know they will go with something not done before, so I'm guessing "Ice Cube as the Crow since we've never had a black one, let's do that!" ![]() Del Toro's Blade was fantastic, the original was decent but nowhere near anything Guillermo could do. If I had seen that Del Toro was remaking the Crow than atleast I would know a true visionary would be doing this and would show us something we've never seen before, but in a talented way, not a shock value way. Just please whatever you do, do not cast Jared Leto as the Crow.......... |

The original is still there, I only have that version on DVD and I have always ignore Crow 2-3-4-5 .....and all TV series. As far as I am concern there is only one Crow and that was made in 1994. They can make these movies until time end's...not changing anything in my life.

if they want the Crow Reboot done right.. they need to make sure the film lives up to the original, but also kind of goes on its own path.. the film needs too.. Get a Actor that can capture Brandon's Vision.. as he was in his Crow Role, a Actor along the lines of Depp, wouldnt be a bad choice.. really Depp, can play any role he chooses! and it would be neat to see him as some sort of darker charecter. with the death of his fiancée , and see him out to seek Revenge.. and lets just say he could pull the hair off. for first measures! another great actor.. Christian Bale? wouldnt be a bad choice. he can easily measure with a dark charecter much like American Pyscho. but would he be good enough for the role of Eric Draven? maybe. and maybe not James Franco.. we've seen him in a few serious role's, but i really think he wouldnt be that bad as Eric.. im thinkin to myself Sam worthington ( With Hair ) wouldnt be a bad choice.. but more to the respect of the original Crow as a Cult Classic i think a Reboot is not necessary and it should be left alone.. but they dont always stick to the plan. they always wanna remake things.. because they wanna get the money out of them! |

The only hope there is for this movie, is if they use a completely new character not Eric Draven, and it's a total unknown actor who can disappear into his role like Brandon did. |
