Look I LOVE SRV and I fully understand the significance and the history behind that guitar.

Having said that, that is one ugly looking POS guitar! I cannot believe the prices people have paid to own a replica of that!

I've always been a big fan of the goldtop LP.

I'm a Martin acoustic man myself. But there's no denying that in the realm of electric guitars, Les Paul is amongst the elite.

Agreed!! Plus I absolutely cannot stand BC Rich guitars! Talk about all "flash and trash." No elegance! No sophistication! To me the Gibson LP is like the "filet mignon" of guitars and BC Rich is the "bologna sandwich" of guitars.

I prefer Strats (by "Strats", I mean humbucker-equipped ESP's) over Pauls myself. The Pauls feel a little too fat and clunky for my style of playing.

Nothing wrong with that! I love Strats too! Like I said in my post, I don't think there is another guitar on this planet MORE beautiful than the LP Custom Cherry Sunburst. Doesn't mean there aren't others comparable!

Oh, what I would give to have a Red Special, a Deacy amp and a Vox AC30.

Oh, and some talent, too.

I'm a big fan of guitars that have seen history, and a strat fan at heart. I would gladly take a vintage strat with wear than a new LP any day. And I don't like the new chambered LPs. Though I would take a Black Beauty in a heartbeat

My favourite guitar is a Gibson Les Paul and they have been my go to guitars for years. That being said fender teles and strats also have their uses and great tones. But as for personal preference I love the guitar that my heroes played which was a cherry burst les paul.

Call me a purist but seeing a Gibson Les Paul with a 1980's Eddie Van Halen tremelo bar just turns my stomach! If you're going to have that on a Les Paul, at least make it a Bigsby!

I'm more of a Fender kind of guy, but I do have a Gibson Les Paul.

I'd like to get a Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior sometime soon

Agreed buddy, but any tremolo is a travesty on a LP for me. Also as much as I love the sound of p90s for me a real LP has HBs. Oh and if I had to have a LP this would be it for me
