Default PSN Movie Downloads?

Does anyone know if the PSN is eventually going to have downloadable tv shows and movies like XBL? Has this been announced yet? I'm usually on top of these things but I was flipping through the PS Store today and thought to myself about how sweet it'll be when there's shows there, but then I it hit me. Are there going to be shows there?

Anyone got a clue lol?

I've read about it being talked about by Sony. Just a matter of time.

The PSP's UK service is going to be unveiled in a couple of weeks at the Leipzig Games Convention, the PS3 service is happening but no dates for when we might know more.

Ugh...

I'm still not convinced about downloading entire movies or shows to my PS3's HDD. I have a pretty fast internet connection and can download most anything big off the Playstation store in about 15 minutes. Most major firmware updates are done in about 10 minutes for me. But, when I downloaded the first part of the Heavenly Sword anime, it took 30 minutes for a 2 min. short. This would, admittedly, have been during peak times, and roughly 10 minutes after the video appeared on the US Playstation store, so I'm guessing traffic was very high at the time. I'm dreading the amount of time it would take to download a feature length film, or an hour long t.v. show, in High definition.

Once they start offering multiple GB files for download I think they'll either put those paid for downloads on servers with greater bandwidth or upgrade the whole service.
