Default acoustically transparent screen

anyone here use or install acoustically transparent screens. I really want to use and inwall speaker(focal electra iw1000 be) for my center channel because i dont like the looks of the regular center channel speaker(focal electra cc 1000 be). I would like to put it in the wall behind the screen but my local installer does not approve. I dont want to use inwalls for my mail left/right speakers because i love the looks of the focal electra 1027be. so any info/fact/opinion on using an acoustically transparent screen AND paring an inwall center with floorstanding mains would be much appreciated! thanks!

I have a DIY acoustically transparent screen. I made it out of a material called phifer sheerweave. There are lots of people that use AT screens in their HT's. The ones made out of a weave are the ones you would want. The perforated vinyl screen aren't good from what I've read. Two companies that sell AT screens are SeymourAV http://www.seymourav.com/screens.asp and SMX cinema solutions http://www.smxscreen.com/. Seymour sells the material (so one could DIY a screen if they choose to), fixed and pulldown AT screens. Go to AVSforum to the Display device section. Then go to the screen section or the diy screen section and you will find all the info you need. Do a search if you don't see a thread discussing what you want to know.
