Default Does it seem like store exclusives have poor video quality like they're rushed?

Does it seem like store exclusives have poor video quality like they're rushed to retail to soon? I notice both Overboard a "Target" exclusive and Maverick a "Best Buy" exclusive have a video quality rating of 2.5 so is it a rush job or the best we can hope for?

They are catalog titles no one really cares about for the most part, but might buy at a good price. No one wants to sink a lot of money into an old movie that wasn't a major box office hit. I think most of them are rush jobs, but some of Best Buy's have been descent transfers. The $5 Walmart and Target deals are just ok. Still, having a $5 'bin' at Walmart might be enough to draw some 'new' people to blu-ray.

The Manchurian Candidate (1962) and The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) were Best Buy exclusives and both look great.

Maverick is only a store-exclusive in the US. It's a wide-release title in Canada, France, and Japan.
