What's with the constant delays on Ichi the Killer?

It seems like every month the blu-ray is supposed to come out, it gets pushed back to next month. Why do they keep letting our hopes up instead of just having no tentative release date and merely saying it's coming soon? Now, it's supposed to come out on Nov. 24th but I have a feeling it will be pushed back yet again. For those of you who have seen it, you will know by my screen name that this is driving me nuts!

Tokyo Shock / Mediablasters are well known for their inability to stick to a DVD release date. They don't announce what is going on, their titles just magically move back a month. I remember Ichi The Killer originally had a March 31st date, and then an August date (but no pre-order information anywhere so I knew that date wouldn't hold), and most recently an October date (with actual pre-order info up until the last minute when it was delayed to November 24th again). Will it actually come out this time? I don't think anyone outside the release company can say for sure. I'm just glad Tokyo Shock doesn't own many films I like so this won't be a recurring issue...

Just be thankful you're not waiting on a region B release; the UK one has been cancelled indefinitely. Luckily I should be region free by the time ichi is finally in my hands.

at least we managed to get some sort of Takashi Miike release (albeit not from Toyko shock)

Audition had a terrible transfer...but the sound was a nice upgrade

The Blu-Ray has now been delayed until February 2010. This getting REALLY annoying.

I just finished watching UK Version on My ps3 usa. Top Asian cinema picture quality on Bluray finally. I bought like 6 Asian flicks Bluray from Amazon.UK most were standard DVD quality like picture but Ichi was Amazing.

Actually Anime Works which is under Media Blasters as well had delays on some dvds I think last year for no reason.

Yup which is coming this month to America under Funimation on Blu-ray and dvd

Would be fine if they were just really taking their time on the Blu-Ray to make sure it was a really good release making it worth the wait. But Death Trance was constantly delayed and is one of the worst Blu-Ray I own so not expecting much from this.

ok, with this only being a couple weeks now...what are the odds we are actually gonna get it this time? ive had it pre-ordered for a while, when it was 12.99 i couldnt resist. i really cant wait for this, i love this movie.

I got it at 12.99 as well but looks like it wont be shipped until April
