A webcomic dedicated to skewering and celebrating the world of anime, manga, and fan culture. All 6 years (and more) printed as a book!

Anime News Nina! is a comedy web comic series that lampoons the crazy world of anime, manga, and geek fan culture. Nina is a "news elf," a newcomer whose mission is to learn anything and everything about anime. Guiding her mission is Kevin, a curmudgeonly hardcore fan, and Paola, a quirky cosplay enthusiast. Anime News Nina! is a work of passion that ran as a regular feature on Anime News Network from 2007 until October 2013. You can still read all the archives for free at Anime News Network!

This project is to help fund something fans of the comic have requested for a long time- a printed book! The book will be a beautiful, **HARDCOVER WITH DUST JACKET! STRETCH GOAL REACHED!** collection of all 190-some full-color comic strips and additional bonus material. It will be perfect bound, a nice 8.5x11" size and will run over 140 pages. Bonus material will include a handful of NEVER BEFORE SEEN comic strips, a foreword by anime industry insiders/columnists/pundits Zac Bertschy and Justin Sevakis, and a collection of notes, illustrations and unfinished material. My goal is to raise $7,500, which will go towards the costs to print and ship a run of 500 books (or possibly more, to meet demand and if funding allows).

Stretch Goals?!

$10,000: All books become hardcovers with dust jacket! ACHIEVED!!
$17,500: All books come with an additional bonus "Ultimate Mop Daisuke" gag dust jacket! ACHIEVED!!
$19,000: Fan Tribute section will be added to the book! Additional pages featuring a collection of Nina fan art/cosplay/etc made by awesome fans like you!! ACHIEVED!!
$21,000: FINAL STRETCH GOAL- free METAL Myoopi charm/pendant for everyone at the $25 and higher tiers! Charm will be 1-1.5" in size. ACHIEVED!!
