noticed that Future Shop is selling the following titles for $4.99 from April 6-8

Says there are 10 to choose from, but only shows these 5:

i HATE hmv! (in Toronto, anyways...)

they charge a premium and don't price match because they say it allows them to provide their customers with better service...

its the same as all music/movie stores

i only go there when they have insane deals or to buy records

No need for sarcasm my friend.....a simple NORTH YORK would have sufficed.

It's been a long time since FS has had a deal worth mentioning, but I'll be all over these $4.99 titles. Sweet......

They get games with high resell value and sell them back to the customers. They probably will end up with some money. Consider that if you trade in games from the last 6 months, they probably will sell them for 30+. So they already are making 60 for your two games. Plus the fact that LOTR is only 49.99 for three days and shoots back up, they aren't really loosing anything.

From the list, I would recommend Blade 2 and 3 because they are OAR and good audio. 3 is not the director`s cut so depending if you want it, wait for the US release. Sin City is probably the Canadian release and missing some of the features the US release has. Seven is messed up and not worth it. I am looking at importing the dutch version.

Does this include the Blu Ray version or just the regular DVD version?

Apparently you have to trade in 2 games with $9 TIV or more each.

Based on a quick scan of http://tivs.ca/, FS has set the $9 TIV becuase there is an $8.40 tier, then the TIVs jump to ~$15, so the majority of ppl will have to trade in $30 to get LOTR 'Free'. I saw only a few occurances of $9-$10 TIVs.

Typical FS scam for the LOTR deal. The rest may be wroth a look, but app. the Alliance Blades transfer suck.

Only the first Blade, not OAR. All three suffer lack of special features but 2 and 3 are OAR and good PQ. 3 is no Director's cut. Besides those issues, 2 and 3 are worth adding until a US release hits while the first Blade, you have to import to get the OAR.

So in fact the LOTR deal isn't as hot as the 18.99 price error but getting a SB for free is a good bonus if you have two games lying around that has high TIV.

Hmm might have to grab a few of these $5 titles and then trade em in when the minimum $8 trade in occurs at Blockbuster.

ughh. pass.

The alliance releases are crap. Although, I think I may get sin city. I would have gotten fanboys but this is pathetic: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/1744/fanboys.html
