I've been trying to get this to work for the last couple of hours, but I can't get anything but NAT Type 3. I've been following all the steps laid out that I can find in Google searches, but nothing. I've assigned a static IP address to my PS3. I've opened all the ports in my router suggested in the search results. I've added my PS3's IP address to my DMZ with the suggested ports open and closed. No luck on anything I try.
My hardware is a fat PS3 with up to date firmware. My router is a Linksys WRT54GS, and I have a small silver Motorola DSL modem. I'm not sure what model number it is. My DSL is through AT&T. The one thing I cannot eliminate as a problem is that my router's IP address is 10.10.10.1 and the IP address for my modem is 192.168.1.254. I don't know if the fact that these two numbers aren't the same is causing an issue. I tried changing my router's IP address to 192.168.1.1, but then I lost all internet connectivity. Someone please help. |
