Rumor: Kojima to announce PS3 exclusive at TGS - Blu-ray Forum

That's according to a senior US publishing source close to CVG.

We were told at E3 yesterday that Kojima - who made a star turn at the Los Angeles expo this week - will anounce a "massive PS3 exclusive that will own the show" in Tokyo.

Details are thin on the ground, but we understand the title will be published by Konami. The publisher oversees Kojima Productions in Japan.

CVG understands that Kojima was keen to show the game at E3, but decided to polish his demo until September "to ensure it's bulletproof".

Kojima was in London this week to sign copies of his latest opus, Metal Gear Soild: Peace Walker on PSP.

His games - MGS: Rising on 360/PS3 and a MGS: Snake Eater demo on 3DS - were the talk of E3 this week, with early indications suggesting Rising will support Kinect on the Xbox platform.

I'm hoping this is MGS4:Substance with 3D and trophy support will come in Fall 2011, but to keep us interested until then they'll give us a MGS Collection in 3D on 1 Blu Ray this Fall. Not gonna get my hopes up though, last TGS really sucked IIRC.

IIRC..didn't Kojima give a hint at what it would be when he said MGS4 was his last MGS..anyways, bring on MGS5.

other than that, isn't he supposed to be directing the next Castlevania game. maybe somthing along those lines..

If he's a got a New IP with a powerful story and big budget like MGS4 had, it couls steal the show. But we'll see.

Don't want a MGS6 right now, would feel like milking the franchise IMO, was never into ZOE, don't know what else Kojima Prod could do that would be huge, what I'm hoping for would be best for me.

What reason does anyone have to believe that this rumor is more true than MGS4 to 360 rumors?

Because Kojima himself clarified many times that it was never coming to the Xbox 360.
