"Best Picture" Blu-ray.com Tournament - Avatar Region Round 2! Come Vote!!

2nd round of the Precious Region! Same rules apply as the first round and u vote the same way as each film is paired in 2's and only one film will advance for each match up. Just to be clear for some of those that don't follow march madness here is how it works. This poll will have 8 films but they are in match ups. So for example #1 seed The Godfather is up against #9 Rain Man u only vote for 1 of those films to advance. U do that with every 2 films paired up and u choose 1 of each 2 paired because only 1 film from each pair will advance.

This will be opened for 3 days which is plenty of time to get your votes in. The winner of each individual match up will advance to the Sweet 16. Also this is not a best of or favorites match up. I would say vote based on the overall take of the film u either feel is better or that u like better or a combination of both! Its up to u of what films to vote for and why. Here we go. Lets get this started!! Got Em!!

I am too, although I suspect that many people simply voted against Slumdog since there is a lot of hate for that film, and that many people who did so simply hadn't seen The Last Emperor.

Nice selection of Annie Hall btw, I can't blame you on that one.

Haha. It's no Star Wars, but I still like it. Nothing wrong with American Beauty though (it made me get into Six Feet Under, which became one of my favorite shows).

I agree about why Last Emperor probably made it this far. Is it me, or is the 80s a pretty rough decade for BP winners?

I agree. I've made it known that I think the 80s is the weakest of all decades, from the 50s on. It has some good films and some classics, but lacks overall depth.
