Default Kidney Stones

SO, I have a kidney stone and I've had it for two weeks and it has barely moved. SO, all I can do is take pain meds for another 2 weeks. At that point they can do something else.

Kidney Stones Suck.....

Anyone else had this horrid experience?

No, not those ones. I had gall bladder stones though. Hurt like a mofo.
Yours can be passed right? No surgery?
I hope you get better!

It can be passed, but I am awaiting that. Gall Stones must be horrible as well.

Yup, feels like being stabbed by a hot knife that's plugged into an electrical outlet.

Had kidney stone(s) once, a few years ago. Pain was unbearable. So much so I couldn't stop vomiting. I'd never experienced pain so bad before that it made me puke! I was in borderline ambulance territory, but a pain killing injection kept me going... a couple of uncomfortable days later the bastards passed. The thought of them returning haunts me.

Yup. I have been to the ER twice in the past the weeks. My stones have barely even moved towards the bladder

One of my friends just found out he has them. His girlfriend had to rush him to the hospital because he start to violently shake like he was dying because of them.

He hates soda now.

I had kidney stones late last year and, fortunately, only puked once out of pain. I had some really nice butt pills that I took for a few days. I stopped taking them and found that the little bastards had passed. Only problem is I didn't catch them, so I don't know what they were made of.

Actually, I forgot about the shaking and hyperventilation. This thread is bringing back some nasty memories.

Why?

I didn't catch mine either, but I new they'd passed when the blood showed up.

Kidney stones were worse for me. Though I'm suspicious of objectively measuring pain, women who've had them say it's worse than childbirth pain. Gall bladder removed due to gall stones, and while there were bouts of pain, it was a different sort. Dull, persistent uncomfortableness with occasionally more intense moments. It was something that once removed, did I realize how uncomfortable I was all the time beforehand. Wish I could've kept the stones, I hear you can make craft jewelry out of them!

As far as kidney stones go, stay hydrated!

Push tons and tons of fluids. Water, mostly, but Powerade/Gatorade will work, even though they have salt in them. Just keep drinking and (hopefully) peeing. With any luck, that'll get the little bastard moving.

I have a quick solution that's super cheap and will for sure work (possibly even immediately after drinking it); it's coconut water!

Do you have Asian stores around you? There are obviously a lot of coconut water made in the US now, but the taste just isn't the same as the ones from the Philippines or other Asian countries. The ones from Asia in my opinion are more pure, and I've always used those and they always work. My brother in law just had kidney stones about 6 months ago and even went to the ER because he never told me about it, and I only learned about it after a few days. Guess what, all I asked was for him to buy at least 6 of the $1.29 coconut water made from the Philippines (at an Asian store) and he got rid of the stones only after 2 days.

If you're able to find it at an Asian store, try this brand:

My friend used it and it hugely helped get rid of a big stone. Read up on it - it's an Amazonian bark that has been known to cure kidney stones. Order the pill form then.
