Default Calabrine & Zebra speaker cables

well from a person who has bought from both these places i can highly recommend their fantastic quality in built. here are the links to both i am using

http://www.calabrine.com/collections...-standard-pair

i am using these for my 2 channel music setup with my dali Ikon speakers. for the money they are amazing.

http://zebracables.com/sp10sd.html

just got in 3 identical length cables for my front stage of my HT room setup. i tested 3 movies and all i can say is WOW!!

also bought 2 sets of 4 of the jumper cables from zebra as well. he hand makes all his cables to order which takes a few weeks, but well worth it. cant believe the quality.

jumpers here: http://zebracables.com/jumpers.html

figure i would post this incase anyone was interested in some really fine quality speaker cables without breaking the bank.

Some good reading before laying down an abundant amount of case for "special" wire.

yup, already did my homework and read all these articles before. this is not a thread about if speaker cables are worth it or about spending too much money on them. didnt start it to dissect the value of cables either.

i simply started it for those interested in these kind of affordable well built cables. these are not ridiculously over priced like analysis plus, monster, audioquest, cardas, kimbe kable or any other. these are great quality 10 gauge speaker cables, very well built for very affordable prices.

just speading some good news, thats all.

Good reply and thanks for posting your thoughts. My cable needs are met, but if I were in the market I'd certainly check them out.

thanks man, nice setup by the way

ya was not trying to get into a debate about speaker cables like so many other threads do. just wanted to let others know my thoughts on the ones i purchased and that i did not have to spend alot to get some really decent cables. oh and yes i did notice a difference with my zebra cables in my HT room. i had some cheaper dayton cables i was using and replaced them with the zebras and noticed a nice cleaner, more detailed sound

I assume your T6's came with similar jumpers to what are on the T5's. Are the jumpers you bought better quality? Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to understand why one would buy jumpers if they already have some.

the psb T5 & T6 come with those cheap thin brass jumper plates. after reading and talking to a few ppl i decided to buy some better jumpers. these zebra jumpers are 10 gauge with high quality connecters soldered and tested, very high quality for a low price. I noticed a difference today as i was auditioning 5 different blu ray movies i have watched already and played some of them scenes back. with the new zebra jumpers and speaker cables my sound and music to movies were more detailed, cleaner and crisp. i am loving it now.

Thanks for the heads up Ryan. When I upgrade from the Monster XP Compact speaker wire( ?AWG ) I'm currently using in my living room, I plan on going with speaker cables( 10AWG ) from Calabrine. Seems like a quality product at a bargain price. Plus I'll be supporting the local economy, since they're made here in Ohio.

sounds good, i got them for my dali speakers upstairs in the dining room for 2 channel music. they are great cables, but after seeing the zebracables i got today and hooking them up to my HT setup i am amazed.

now i think i will be trying the zebra's upstairs next week to see how the sound with the dali's. then put the calabrines with the HT stuff, etc.

good luck, you wont be disappointed.

If you only care about sound quality, do not want to waste your money, and don't give a damn about what others have to say, then buy Monoprice speaker wires and banana plugs and make them yourself:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/se...d=banana+plugs

If you care about sound quality and want pre-made cables that look good and are are economical, then your answer is Velocity cables (Price range: $12 to $24):

http://store.audioholics.com/section...-interconnects

If you care about sound quality and have convinced yourself that in a typical home theater room, 10 gauge and good looking wires sound better, then buy Sonicwave cables (Price range: $50 to $99):

http://store.audioholics.com/section...-interconnects

If you want to satisfy your ego, have a great deal of placebo in your intestines, won the lottery, and plan to use pseudo science to convince yourself that expensive wires sound better, then buy the JPS Labs cables (Price range: $249 to $724):

http://store.audioholics.com/section...speaker-cables

If the cables from JPS Labs are too cheap for you, there are speaker cables that costs as much as $20,000+ from a few unscrupulous companies such as ...
