Default Need some help with my 1st build

Need some help please.

My computer is getting very dated and I was thinking of building one. This will be my first build and I’m willing to take the dive. My experience level is beginner.
I update my laptop ROM, I installed a second hard-drive once, I installed 2 network cards in the past and a sound card. That’s it.

The holidays are approaching and I have a very addicting hobby. I collect steelbooks for movies I like, so I’m not looking to go overboard and create a system that’s not necessary for my computing needs, but I do have this special request. My computer is about 10 feet away from my TV and I would like to use the computer to view movies that are regionally lock. Is there a video card that will send one source to my amplifer via HDMI and another to my computer monitor? and can I have the sound travel through the HDMI cable?

Here are the tasks I’ll be using is for:

1. Web browsing
2. Computing (Spreadsheets, word processing, etc)
3. HD playback (Blu-ray, YouTube Hulu, etc)
4. Photo Editing (images could be as big as 4-6 mb in size)
5. Burning to a blu-ray disc. (I have over a hundred hrs for HD video from my camcorder I would like to archive)

Can someone help me with compatible stable hardware without going overboard?
