The good: Fantastic setlist, it really fits the motif of the game very well.
The bad: Guitar-centric game. Though to be fair, this is the first Guitar Hero game since GH3 that actually lives at all up to its name. As my primary instrument of choice is vocals, I can't bring myself to approve of this move, but I certainly understand what they're doing. The ugly: It's Activision. Boo. If Starcraft II couldn't get my money, this game certainly won't either. |

Oh, another game with fake plastic 'instruments', pass. I am actually very happy that the rhythm genre has faltered...

Sounds like it should be good fun - a step back is exactly what GH required as like Clock-punk pointed out it has always been the more 'Fun' orientated and 'Arcadey' of the two franchises - I'm really looking forward to getting this.

So with the music genre as a whole losing focus and oversaturating the market, this is Activision's answer? While Harmonix is aware of this and are attempting to bring interest back to the genre, first with harmonies in The Beatles, and with improved guitars (six-string guitar) and a 25-key MIDI keytar for RB3, GH seems to have gone back to the "comfortable" guitar-centric mode that has been there since the very first GH. This pretty much nips it in the bud for me, Activision has shown no innovation at all for every new GH that has sprung up, or has copied whatever Harmonix already has done and tweaked it up and sold enough based on the brand name alone. I'm done with GH. Only way I'll get this thing is if its in the clearance bin, and even then I'd have to debate with myself.

Setlist looks decent. I'm not sure about the redesigned guitar, I just got used to the Band Hero guitar
![]() If you switch out The Cure for Nine Inch Nails, that was my exact same reaction. ![]() |

I just found out they are making GH: Metallica importable into GH: Warriors of Rock! Well, not the whole disc but all of the Metallica songs are included (minus a few from Death Magnetic, you will need to buy the DLC if you have yet to do so.) Also, you can import Metallica for free for the first week of release only - Metallica Import
