Universal Home Video has announced 1-disc ($29.98), 3-disc ($34.98) and Blu-ray ($39.98) editions of Hellboy II: The Golden Army which stars Ron Perlman. The full details have yet to be confirmed I'm afraid (including the street date) but we can tell you that the 3-disc edition will include a digital copy of the film and around 3 hours of bonus content. The 2-disc Blu-ray edition will also include the digital copy, along with a feature that enables you to build your own comic book. Stay tuned for further details as we get them.

A collector's set containing the 3-disc release will also be available for $59.98. This will include a Limited Golden Army Statue, and an excerpt from the journal of Guillermo Del Toro. The artwork is attached:

I could swear there was a thread talking about how weak November was going to be.....I knew they were talking a little too early. Many of the summer movies will hit in November, holiday shoppers money.

November is my birthday month, can't wait. Looking forward to Hellboy II. I just need the Serenity announcement and all will be good.

I likes what I likes. I have about 20-30 BD's and I buy only one every couple of months tops. I'm not like some folks that buy everything that comes out just because it's on blu. I like the characters in Hellboy, a bit cheezy at times but who cares, it's fun.

I will be picking this up, regardless of how bad the cover is. The flick was pretty good, but I liked the first one more.

That's awesome...because I feel ripped that Iron Man, KOTC, etc. are still only doing their gift sets w/regular DVD. Going to get this gift set FOR SURE!!!
