I live in Mass and it's a freakin' mess. EVERY river in the state is over flood stage. Three straight weeks of major rain storms (Nor'Easters). This is the rainiest March on record.

My sump pump has been working overtime, turning on about every two minutes. The ground is totally saturated, the water table is very high.

I can't wait for the early summer weekend they are forecasting, 80's on Saturday!

Yeah, it finally stopped raining today; the forecast looks good and the flood waters should begin receding now.

Damn. Haven't been to RI in awhile. When I did it was either Pawtucket or Little Compton. Looks bad. I thought AZ got bad flooding with our dry as hell ground. Hope its over.

I live about 25 miles from the RI border, and we were hit pretty hard here as well. It wasn't to the extent of the pictures shown in this thread, but we had road and school closures everywhere, and even on the roads that weren't closed, I would say about 90% of them had significant ponding.

Driving through my neighborhood this morning on my way to work, EVERYONE had hoses (from sump pumps) running into the street. It also looked like everyone was having a tag sale because there were entire basements worth of contents on their lawns. It was quite the sight to see.

Our basement is awfully prone to flooding, despite the fact that we're at a higher point in the neighborhood. Thankfully I was home when the water initially started to invade my house on Tuesday night, so I quickly ran to Home Depot and bought a utility pump which helped a LOT. It was like Black Friday there, though. I saw at least 40-50 other people there scrambling to buy pumps and garden hoses.

We still got a ton of water overall, and there was a lot of Shop Vaccing to be done. On a positive note... after I found a leak in the foundation, I can verify that Mighty Putty DOES work.
